Ryoanji - 2 million year old art
Some of the 15 stones in Ryoanji's garden have been tested and are said to be over 2-million years old. This is a work which embodies 2-million years of time, representing both timelessness and impermanence. Human beings come and go, but the stones of Ryoanji remain intact, welcoming pilgrims from all over the world and for centuries to come.

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Ryoan-ji again this past April. FINALLY I got back to Japan after your wonderful tour.
